For inventors and growing hardware companies

Product manufacturing services that build your first 500 in the USA and your next 50,000 wherever they land cheapest

A working prototype isn't a product you can ship by the thousand. We build your pilot run here in the USA, turn it into a production package you own, then place volume with the right factory in the US, Mexico or Asia and stay on top of every batch.

The short answer

How do I get my product manufactured in the USA?

Lock the design for production, build a small pilot run, then hand a complete production package to the factory that fits your volume and price. For a first electronic product, expect several months from a working prototype to sellable units, because tooling, testing and certification all sit on the path. We run every step and tell you up front which factory route fits your numbers.

Where are you now?

Two ways in, one path to production

The stages

From prototype to mass production, one gate at a time

Prototype

What’s built

A handful of units to prove it works.

What has to pass

The product does its job on the bench.

EVT, DVT and PVT stand for engineering, design and production validation tests. Unit counts here are typical for a first product; large brands build far more at each stage.

Pilot runs

Prove it in the USA before you commit to a factory

Your first sellable units are built by our team, on our line. Everything we make to build them becomes your transfer pack, so the factory starts from a proven process instead of a guess.

Test fixtures

The jigs that check every board and every finished unit.

Programming station

Loads firmware and a unique serial number into every device.

Work instructions

Photo steps for each station, so any factory builds it the same way.

Golden sample

Signed reference units every future batch is checked against.

The transfer pack is yours, in writing. If you ever move factories, it moves with you.

Tooling

The right tooling for your volume, not the most expensive one

3D printed parts

For the first handful of units, while the design still changes.

Cast urethane

For tens of units that look and feel like molded parts.

Aluminum molds

For hundreds to thousands, with cheaper changes if you need them.

Steel molds

For tens of thousands and up, built to last millions of shots.

We sign off the design with the factory before any steel is cut, because a change in CAD is cheap and a change in steel isn't. Molds and tooling are registered in your name.

Where to build

USA, Mexico or Asia: choose on landed cost, not unit price

The cheapest factory quote is rarely the cheapest product on your shelf. Landed cost adds freight, duties, customs fees and the time your cash is tied up.

United States

Fastest changes, closest oversight, highest labor cost. Best for early runs.

Mexico

Close by, and goods that qualify under USMCA can enter the US duty-free.

China and Vietnam

Deep supply chains and low labor cost, with US duties to plan for.

As of November 2026, products made in China usually carry several stacked US duties. Goods made in Vietnam carry a smaller one, and goods from Mexico that qualify under USMCA can enter duty-free. These rules have changed several times since 2025 and parts are being challenged in court, so we confirm the exact rate for your product's tariff code with a licensed customs broker before you commit to a factory.

Quality

No silent part swaps, no surprises in the box

First article check

We inspect the first units off every new line before the run continues.

Sampling plan

Every batch is sampled to a written plan, agreed before production.

Locked parts list

No part changes without your sign-off, so certifications stay valid.

Already shipping

Lower your unit cost, add a second supplier or move factories safely

Cost-down

We review your parts list, assembly and packaging for real savings.

Second sources

Approved backup parts, so one shortage doesn't stop your line.

Factory moves

We transfer the process with your pack, then re-check the first batches.

Moving production takes months, not weeks, and quality has to be proven again at the new factory. We plan the overlap so you don't run out of stock.

Cost

What changes the price

Your readiness review gives you a first cost-per-unit range for your product.

  • Number of parts
  • Enclosure tooling
  • Test time
  • Order size
  • Factory location
  • Packaging

Still prototyping? Prototyping. Designing the housing? Product design. Boards and test points: PCB design. Factory programming: Embedded firmware. Before you ship: Certification.

FAQ

Manufacturing questions inventors and product teams ask us

What is the minimum order for a first production run?

It depends on the factory and the process. Our pilot runs in the USA let you build a small first batch without a large factory minimum, then move to a contract manufacturer once your volume justifies it.

Who owns the tooling and molds?

You do. Molds, fixtures and the production files are registered in your name, in writing, so you can move them to another factory at any time.

How long does it take to go from prototype to production?

For a first electronic product, usually several months. Tooling, the EVT, DVT and PVT builds and certification all sit on the path. Your readiness review gives you a dated plan.

Is it cheaper to manufacture in China, Mexico or the USA?

Labor is cheapest in Asia and Mexico, but landed cost decides. As of November 2026, China-made goods usually carry several stacked US duties, while Mexican goods that qualify under USMCA can enter duty-free. We compare landed cost for your product before you choose.

Can you take over from my current manufacturer?

Yes. We document your current process, build a transfer pack, and check the first batches at the new factory against your golden sample.

Do you load firmware at the factory?

Yes. Our programming station loads firmware and a unique serial number into every unit, and it moves to your factory with the transfer pack.

What are EVT, DVT and PVT?

Engineering, design and production validation tests: three build stages between a prototype and mass production. Each one has to pass before the next begins.

What is a golden sample?

A signed reference unit that every production batch is checked against, so quality stays the same from the first batch to the hundredth.

What is landed cost?

The full cost of a unit on your shelf: the factory price plus freight, duties, customs fees and handling. It's the number to compare factories on.

What is box build?

Assembling the finished product: boards, enclosure, cables, battery, packaging and the final test, ready to ship.

OEM, ODM or EMS: which do I need?

An EMS company assembles your electronics to your design. An ODM sells you its own design with your brand. As the OEM, you own the design; we help you work with the right partner.

How do payment terms work with factories?

Overseas factories often ask for a deposit up front and the balance before shipping.
