Landed Cost Sheet: the booth price is line one, and these lines decide your margin

A factory quote is the first line of what each unit costs you. Freight, the customs broker, duty, marketplace fees and returns come after it. Start by asking which price you were quoted, then divide every per-shipment cost by the units in your order to see your real cost per unit.

FAQ

Questions about landed cost

How do I calculate landed cost per unit?

Start with the unit price and its terms. Add packaging, then divide freight and the customs broker fee by the units in the order, and add duty and customs fees. The sheet works it out for you.

What is the difference between EXW, FOB and DDP?

EXW is the price at the factory door. FOB adds getting the goods onto the ship at the port of loading. DDP includes delivery with duties paid.

Do small imports still enter the US duty-free?

No. The de minimis exemption is suspended, so small shipments pay duty too. Check your rate at hts.usitc.gov and confirm it with your customs broker. This is not legal advice.

Is the sheet free?

Yes. The lines are on this page. Enter your email to get the PDF, plus the Excel version and a Google Sheets copy.
